| Since the previous post was getting into a direction that was more about ego's than enjoying baits I am opening this new topic. I can only hope that this topic will be experienced the way I intended it in the first place.
In the previous topic I posted that the muskie bait was going to be a crankbait. I have asked Tim to send me some pictures, so me and you guys can see the progress of this bait, so.....here is the bait with a bill. It isn't finished yet but you will get a good idea how it will turn out.
I really like the fact that the nice carving is being obtained even though the bill has been installed.
Since it is a 18 inch lure it is more than fishable. I asked if Tim already gave it a test run and he did. Said that it run like a crankbait should run. But for those who like to collect beautiful baits more than fish it will be fine to. I guess it will be up to the fisherman/collector, personally I say....fish it......

| Simply amazing! I would fish that thing in a minute! Wishmaster has an 18 inch crank that catches fish, so I know that thing will! If that thing had the fins and tail on it, I would have to say it's as realistic or more so than the muskie replica's posted. Really amazing stuff! |

Location: Muskoka Ontario,Canada | Good to see the lip didn't ruin all the great detailing on the head. When you said it was BIG I also thought you meant something crazy big like 24". An 18" trolling crankbait is quite fishable. |

| Guess the biggest "decoy" in my previous post was my quote about the lure being big....LOL

| Nice looking bait, but can you count it as a follow each time you get the lure near the boat? I think it is pretty, but the crappie that was on ebay a couple of weeks ago was the best Novak bait I've seen yet, imo. Beautiful looking crappie.
Hey pointerpride, you wanna see a big bait? Okay, it's only twelve inches long.....but it is four inches tall and 2 inches thick. And it is a working one of a kind giant ss shad! I bought it at Chicago two years ago from Kyle Marsanick of Smoker Tackle, and though it was only a display model, I got some pointers about where the regular ss shads are weighted and set about making it a working lure. After ten ounces of weight strategically placed and some touch up painting, it works just like a normal ss shad. Except that it moves about as much water as a beaver! Awesome lure and as big as anyone would ever need. SS shads are one of the best lures out there, but this one is the bomb. LIterally.

| Novak makes a nice bait no doubt about it. Biggest bait I ever caught a muskie on was a 16 inch crankbait Novak made me about 5 years ago. Not sure if I would fish this one, probably hang it up instead.
