| New for 2007, Frabill will award a total of $4,500.00 to the top three muskies registered and safely released in the WMT this season. The "Hunter Trophy"(tm) is an award that has been presented to the biggest muskie released each year on the tour. The trophy was named in honor of the team who won the "big fish award" during the WMT's inaugural season in 2001, when Mike and Ben Hunter landed a 47 3/4 inch muskie during the Boom Lake qualifier and captured the prize.
Now, the WMT is proud to announce that the Frabill Big Kahuna as the "officially approved" net of the WMT and the title sponsor of the "Hunter Trophy"(tm). The WMT feels that the Frabill Big Kahuna net is the best muskie net available, and because of its size and coated netting is the safest on the market, to quickly unhook a muskie for a successful release.
Frabill has pledged to help the WMT in our efforts to promote the safe handling of muskies on the tour, by rewarding the top three muskie releases with pay-outs of $2,500.00 for first place and the winner of the Frabill Big Kahuna "Hunter Trophy"(tm) award, and $1,500.00 to the runner up, and $500.00 to the third place finishers, if they used a Big Kahuna net to land their big muskies.
The Frabill Big Kahuna nets are at the pinnacle of safe handling for muskie tournament fishing and for every day muskie fishing as well. The WMT encourages the use of a Big Kahuna for healthy releases of every muskie.
Thanks and have a great season,
