Green Bay Area usually, but the Resurgence of good esox fishing has occured in Northern IL down through Batavia.
42" was just caught a few days back around the Kane co. area.

I guess I should have specified. When people fish the fox near green bay and down toward Appleton where do they launch. Also the fox in Illinois is different that the fox in green bay. The Fox out of green bay stops at Winnebago. The fox in Illinois starts in Waukesha wi. There is nothing connecting the two.

Actually the Upper Fox starts in central Wisconsin near Portage and flows into Winnebago, the Lower Fox runs from Winnebago to Green Bay. Most posts about the Fox lately are talking about the Lower Fox from the DePere dam through the city of Green Bay and into the Bay. There are 3 landings in this stretch. Most people are using the Fox Pointe Landing in DePere or the Metro Landing near the mouth of the river. Both are very nice landings. There is also a smaller shallower landing near the dam at the fairgrounds in DePere. Hope this helps.
