| Polarized is polarized as far as I know. BUT:
Do you want glass lenses, scratch resistance, polycarbonate, durable frames, 100% UVA and UVB protection, impact resistant, etc.???
I'm cheap, so I get why you would spend as little as possible, but I've got some medical eye issues, and I remember what my opthomologist told me:
"You only get one pair of eyes. Is saving $100 really that important?"
Another thing to consider is comfort. I tried on a few of the $20 pairs. How are those going to feel after 10 hours?

| I was always a "cheap" guy also... until I bought my OceanWaves also.... man there is no comparison. I am POSITIVE I used to miss seeing follows. My brother is still a "cheap" guy and I often have to tell him when there is a fish following because he can't see it.
I believe piece of mind also, knowing your glasses are probably protecting your eyes better also. Spend some cash and get a quality pair. |

| i've got some i found at cabela's out here for $20 or so. they work fine, and i lose sunglasses too often to spend more than that on a pair. i'm sure the more expensive ones are better, though. |

| I wear glasses so I get perscription polarized sun glasses. They are not cheap but last a long time because the quality is much better than most glasses purchased at stores or catalogs. Most people don't know that you can get glasses made without a correction, Plain Lenses. You can select colour, material and frame of choice.< any optical shop can do this and make you some really high quality glasses at an affordable price.

| i really like the H30 glasses so that i can change lens colors.
it comes with 3 colors (dark for bright, light for overcast, amber for low light) and i bought two more (rose for driving, clear for at night).
love the versatility and the polarization is great on them.

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | I went the same route as Baldy, cheapies until my first pair of Ocean Waves. I couldn't believe the difference. Since then I have donated the first pair of Ocean Waves to the LOTW gods, and experimented with several brands before recommitting to anything. I tried Costa's, H3O's, RayBans and others. I went back to the Ocean Waves, they were by far the best. I use back water green lenses, they seem to cut the glare better than anyother. THe one drawback is that they are poor lowlight glasses, but the performance the rest of the day more than makes up for it. |

I fished a tournament one weekend and the lense blew out on may way down the lake the first day so, I broke down and bought a pair of Costa Del Mar's ($180). I will never go back to the cheap stuff again. I only use them for fishing and they are now 5 years old and still going strong. Pat |

| I bought my first pair of Costa Del Mar's from a rep for 60 bucks. Blue mirrors. I remember walking across the grass the next morning(bright sun) and was amazed.That was over 10 years ago, and I now have 3 pair.Green, blue and an extra amber. Folks who have never tried polarized glasses can't believe what they've been missing. The difference between glass and polycarbonate lenses is pretty dramatic.I've tried Ocean Waves also, and wouldn't hesitate to invest in a pair , if for some reason, the need arose.Lifetime warranties on both and your set.Buy a set of "keepers" and you'll never leave 'em anywhere again.Just don't take 'em off! | I generally wear cheap glasses. Last year I picked up a pair of Booyah glasses. Man, for $20 they are freakin awesome! Better than any other pair I've ever used! |

| Cowboy, I can't preak for the other brands mentioned but if you buy Costa Del MAr glasses with glass lenses you wil not scratch the lenses. I have one pair of blue mirrored that I have had for 5 years now and there is not a single scratch in the lenses and I wear them everyday in the truck along with when I am fishing. Plus I do not baby them. |

I did for a while. Then I figured it was silly to have $150 sunglases just for fishing and wear the $20 sunglasses everywhere else. May as well use them! |

get the ones that fit your size head.
the Storm are medium profile glasses for big heads.
the Tsunami are larger profile glasses for big heads.
the Surge are smaller profile glasses for small heads.
i've got a big head (~7 5/8) and the Tsunami and Storm fit well.
the Surge were too small for me.

A word of caution: Don't get your prescription polarized glasses tinted to the darkest point. I did so and now need to have them lightened up. Can't see a follow for the life of me real early in the morning, or just before dusk.
