X-135 Pinging

Subject: X-135 Pinging


I just got my new boat out on the water and the Lawrance X-135 that is installed on the dash's transducer makes a ping so loud you can here it from inside the boat! I've never heard of this before, does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? OTHER THAT SHUT IT OFF, I know that one

Believe it or not, this is normal. It comes and goes on mine. It also seems to be loudest in cold water.

Location: Stevens Point, WI		Yep, not a real big deal though slightly annoying. It will not scare the fish away either.
