Location: Madison, WI | Are there any baits on the market, that you love to use but as soon as they come out of the package you change out the split rings and hooks? I now most basement baits come with quality component but which mass made lure really worry you? |

| any bait you see with those little #5 silver plated split rings I change..I don't trust those..

Location: Yahara River Chain | A lot of them. But then I'm always tinkering with things.
One thing I alway do in change out TopRaider hooks. Replace them with 7/0s and many of the bucktails get bigger hooks as well.

Location: Davenport, IA | With most new baits, I will try to twist the split ring right away...if it twists easily I'll replace it with a bucher ring. |

Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | Change split rings on anything with small, weak split rings...dawgs, storm lures, cranes, etc...
I also hate triple split rings as they are to soft, spongy and are easily stretched apart.
