| How come the lips on crank baits are always right on the nose? Has any one ever experimented with moving it back towards the first trebble? Or maybe even farther back? What happens to the baits action if you do this |

Location: Minnesota | Mine on the Grunt are back towards the first treble but that is because if it is up by th enose it blows out of the water and just roles. IMO th elips on most baits are where they are for running purposes. I know some baits are very stable and have 3-4 attach points fro running at various depths. Trial and error adn a lot of error
