When you downsize, what do you downsize too? Small twitch baits, jigs, etc.? I'm thinking about situations where I need to downsize to the extreme, small jigs, lighter line, leaders, etc. Anyone have much experience with this, and what set ups do you use to cast small baits efficiently without going to small with rods/reels/line?

6'10" medium action St Croix Premier with a quantum cabo 31 and 65lb PP casts fairly light baits well enough.

Heavy bass tackle works well for bait under 1.5 oz -When the spring bite is tough I use a small bait with "hang" - Husky jerks and 6" jakes. I throw them on a 7'6 Bass Pro IM8 flippin stick and Abu D6 6600, 30 lbs fireline with 100 vanish floro leader.
