Location: Monee, Illinois | For musky fishing what state would you buy a summer home/winter home in? You could even post the town if you would like. Put a reason why also..

Location: Rhinelander | Somewhere just over the border in the UP. Taxes are lots cheaper than Wis but the lakes are still close. Watersmeet would be a good start |

Location: Illinois | For me it would have to be Wisconsin. I realize my shot at a 50 incher is better in Minnesota but there are others factors involved when you have kids. They couldn't consistently tolerate a 9-10 hour drive. Northern Wisconsin may or may not offer the greatest musky fishing (it's good by my standards), but it has a qualities that appeal to me and my family. You can get a short drive away from town and experience nature. The people are friendly. Yes, I have been given a hard time for being from Illinois, but for the most part, if you are respectful and polite, it is returned. There are a lot of great family activities in nearby towns like Minoqua. I realize the musky fishery could improve, but when you are buying a house and have a family, the musky fishing may not be the deciding factor because it isn't only about you.
(Not to imply you are thinking in those terms-just m.o. |

| For me it will be Wisconsin or the UP of Michigan, Big V would be my first choice but it is just too far away to visit often |

Location: Athens, Ohio | Tennessee. Life there includes a moderate climate and NO income tax on retirement income. Just ask Stan Durst (if you can find him in the Hills of Dollywood!). Good muskie and smallmouth fisheries, and you can visit mikie's birthplace in Alcoa in addition to the other smaller attractions like Gatlinburg, Graceland and Nashville. m |

Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | I would get a place in Minnesota probably around the Brainerd Nissawa area. Lots of great water, golf courses etc. Very short drive to Mille Lacs or up to the Walker, Cass lake area. I fish for multiple species including Smallmouth and panfish so this area would be perfect for me. |

Nobody fishes down here and there are no fish, so don't mislead all these nice people. SHUSH!!!! Chris
Mikie I don't mean to imply that the gentleman on the website is a nobody, just most of the rest of us.
