Location: WV | Got my first Induron last week. Was so impressed with smoothness and drag system , ordered 2 more.............could be listing my ambassadeurs for sale if i don't keep them for back-up.
Have been using catalina and convector line counters for a couple years, looks like OKUMA has found a permanent place on my rods.

How often is that happening? I have been using the power handle that I sent you on the IDX-400's for the last 9 months (throwing baits up to 12 ounces) and never had that happen. If you would like, I have another power handle that has a smaller knob that weighs less that i can send you.
I have about 10 guys that are using the same reels and power handles as you. I asked 6 of them if they have ever had the problem and they all said no.
Let me know if you want the power handle with the smaller (lighter) knob and I will get it sent out on Monday for you. |

Location: Racine, Wi | I haven't thrown any realllly big baits on that reel yet, but man is it smooth. I'm thinking it can handle the harder pulling baits with ease. I'll report back after I get some time on it, but so far, it seems nice.
Gerard, I haven't had the problem of the power handle engaging the spool on a cast. Maybe you get too excited when casting and start reeling with your bait half way to the spot you're casting too?? |

No, it is definitely the weight of the handle is engaging the reel. It could also be the crank's on the left side (where it ought to be for a right handed person). I did notice that the threads were standard "righty - tighty, lefty - loosey" Where as my Abus are all left hand threads on the crank shaft. Maybe this has something to do with it???? I don't know. But Mark from Okuma got in touch with me and I sent it back for investigation. Thanks Mark. |
