esoxhunter951,

Super easy to make but funny enough one of the more expensive baits to make! My big double bladed bucktail prototypes like the Cowgirls cost almost as much to make as my big 16 and 17 inch trolling baits. Still fun to make and it will save you a lot of money making your own. See below for a good website. You can order all of the items needed from Dick Moore or Stamina and other places. Go buy a few and just look at them and look at the pieces used. Just reverse engineer the baits and buy the components needed and you will have a lot of fun.

Good luck and post some pictures when you are done or in the process. A lot of help can be found here from people who know a lot about making bucktails.

I teach classes on how to tie. if you are in Wisconsin, and can travel to Appleton, send me a PM or e-mail. Cost is based on what you want to learn. i used to charge a 12er of beer, but i got too busy with that rate. now it is $25.00, and that will get you at least 4 hours of instruction, plus, you walk out with your first two complete lures.

Your best source will be Dick at Moores Lures.

He takes orders again starting on Monday.

Great guy.

GOOD DEAL!!! Dick is back on Monday! That slacker

esoxhunter951,
Call Dick! If he can't find it he knows someone someplace who has it, can get it, or can make it!

Download his PDF catalog: (*Top yellow button on this page)
