| I just want to know what you guys do or use to clean your carpet in your boat.
I friend told me to use a pressure washer but I don't think that is a very good idea, or is it?
thanks

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | I do exactly as your friend suggested. I take it to the local carwash, run a prewash cycle, soap it down, and then rinse. Comes out looking good as new. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | If it's badly stained, use a carpet cleaning solution and a broom on wet carpet, let it soak, and THEN hit it with the car wash. New. |

I clean my carpets alot...I buy a can of foaming carpet cleaner and spray down the carpet. Obviously hitting the stains and high traffic areas harder. Let it set in for a few minutes (5-10) and then take it to the car wash and spray it out. Make sure you get all the stuff out of the carpet and take out your drain plug. When I am done I take my big wet/dry vac and suck out all the water. Takes about a half hour, but it makes the carpet look good as new!!!

Location: north central wisconsin | While we are on the subject, what do you glass boat owners use for hull cleaner and wax/sealant. I used to use some pretty abrasive stuff with my old boat, but want to be more careful with this one. Also, fishing the WI River/Petenwell will challenge the finish often and I'd like a good wax that will allow me to keep the thing clean with ease. Thanks!! |

Location: Davenport, IA | For real tough spots try SD-20...I've cleaned a lot of carpets and SD-20 followed up by a shampooer will get rid of most stains. It doesn't help a lot with pet hair though. |

| Reef Hawg, Skeeter here. How can I help you with your boat cleaning needs? Restore and Wonderfoam are very popular. Wonderfoam for cleaning up those white water deposits on boat and motor and after the boat is clean open up a bottle of Restore. Restore will make that boat and motor look new. I have a bunch of before and after pics if your interest. If I can help you answer any questions call or email anytime. Glad to help. There I have my signature now. Skeeter

Location: north central wisconsin | Thanks Skeeter! Is the restre a wax or polish? i have heard not to use wax but to use a polish, which won't leave as many swirl or buff marks. Didn't have to worry about it on the brown streak, as I just used a wire brush once a year...

| This is a Wax / Cleaner. You won't have any problems with streaks unless you use the same rag over and over or put to heavy of coats on it. Have sold to all brands of boats all over the US and Canada with not problems. Any questions call or email me. Thanks Skeeter |
