Location: ohio | After all the rain we had here,I still went out on the water,when i got to the lake,found that the water was Very Muddy and at least 3 1/2 feet flooded,never seen the water that high at that particular lake. caught one 30 incher and missed another fish right off the bat, after that fished for 4 hours without a bite,follow or anything.#*^@ near threw every bait in my box,tried slow retrieve, fast retrieve, this, that and everything else.the fish were on two days before but turned off "figured this after all the rain"" You guy's ever run into this before ? | |

| Yes, As mikie said, try rattle baits up shallow when the water is dirty and rising. Loud and bright is what works best for me. Look for anything that will warm the water up. Asphalt sidewalks or parking lots under water, north side mud flats, etc. | |

| tiger what lake in ohio were you fishing i fished leesville yesterday troling and casting for about 9 hours with no luck.talk to some other boats and they didn't fair to well ethier. water was very muddy and up about 2-3 feet but seen it alot higher. i nearly threw everything in the box but started with rattle traps. do you guys prefer the 1 oz or the 3/4 rattle traps | |

And i am not kidding when i said it was high and muddy, looked like a cup of coa -coa,was going to go to leesville but decided on the last minute not to due to flooded roadways.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Watch for 'mudlines' that intersect with shore, too. Those can be just like structure, fishing the clearer side in the shallows. Don't rule out Indiana Blade Spinner Baits. | |

Location: ohio | Sworrall, Thats exactly were i caught my first fish and missed the second,,seems like as soon as the lure came out of the muddy water line they smacked it.
My guess is they wait there looking for baitfish swimming in and out of the mudline.
