Location: Columbus, Georgia | I fished for a few hours this afternoon on the Licking River near Cave Run Lake. I had the pleasure of netting this 41" female for my friend Frank. The fish put up a great struggle before being successfully released. The water is warming up down here (80 degree air temperatures today) and the fish are starting to get active.
Many of the stocked fish on the Cave are more silver in color with less markings. These spots had me wondering if this fish was one that naturally reproduced in the Licking River.
