| Are there any recommendations out there for lodging on Cass Lake? Looking to go up there on long weekends a few times this year. Any info would be great. Would prefer to be on the water. |

You might have a difficult time finding a cabin for just weekends during the vacation (June-Aug) season. Much easier in the off-season. |

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Hey "fin" - Be careful with the link EsoxRookie posted. The info on it may be corrupt, i.e., not 100% accurate.
F.ex. Go to #11 "Break on the Lake Resort". Click on it. It says there are no launches, no bar, etc.
Here's their website -> http://www.breakonthelake.com/
I stayed there on a MF outing in fall of 2001. Very nice folks- Bar/Lounge, two launches, nice accomodations. Although the East Penninsula launch is shallow water launch. You can/should start fishing right from the launch!
Have fun!

Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | I generally stay at Sah Kah Tay beach which shares a driveway with Birch Villa. They have their own launch area and a protected mooring area for your boat. Larry and his wife are nice folks with a great new lodge, good pizza and ice cold beer.

Location: Athens, Ohio | Both Break on the Lake and the Villa have great accomodations, I really liked the cabins at Break. Tony Grant will be guiding out of Birch later in the year if you need a guide. There's other good ones up there, too.
Cass is a great piece of water.
Something else you can try, Big Lake is nearby and there's a couple resorts there, too that looked great. You can Google up the county tourism bureau, their website has a comprehensive listing of resorts and their locations. good luck up there, I'm envious. m |
