Location: Minneapolis | I just wanted to publicly thank Pete Vanasse of Holcombe tackle for going above and beyond what I expected for customer service.
I met Pete today at the Muskie Expo in Blaine. I've got a LOW Rider (about 3 years old) that had the tail blade fall out last summer. I was hoping to buy a new blade to fix mine. Pete said I could send it to him, and he'd repair it and send it back to me, free of charge.
Just that would have been great customer service. But then he asked what color it was, and he just gave me a new replacement off the rack. I did not have my broken lure or receipt with, but Pete took care of me no questions asked. Thanks, Pete!
New LOW Riders have the blades screwed in, so the problem should be completely cured.
Thanks again, Pete. I always appreciate being able to do business with folks who stand behind their products.
Now if I can just stand the wait until June... |

Location: Northern Illinois | Nice to hear there are still companies out there like that. It's lure companies like that, that back up their products and make a slight change to alleviate the problem, that I don't mind spending a little extra $ for. I'll have to take a look at their product line, I can't say I have anything of their's yet. ( I take that back, I have an old Musky Buster Bucktail that has produced for me , and it's still in fine shape).

Location: Minnesota | I agree. Most of hte muskie tackle companies are great! Not to steal the thunder from the good things from Holcombe but, I had the same good customer service while buying a LifLike lure. Sent a picture of the lure with the problem and had a replacement in 3 days! You won't get this kind of service from AT&T or the likes when you call and you get shoved into the India customer service center!
Kudos to you guys! You are a great example to the rest of us.
