| We pulled up on the first spot, in southern illnios. After about 30 casts, I thought I was snagged. After I looked in the water I saw a gater with teeth shaking his head. Once I got it in the net, got a few quick pics, and a measurement. A 44.5" gave me a nice tail wag! What a start of the year, here's the pic, is it luck or what?

Location: Medford, WI | Beautiful!!! I'm loving these weekly posts of muskies being caught!!! So great to see...only a few more months for us here in Wisconsin. But for the lucky ones like myself, we'll have a chance at some southern muskies before opener here.
Way to get a very nice fish this early...good luck the rest of the season.

| Ok Netman, Here is a little more details, I was using a crank, in 25 fow casting towars shore, thought i hit a tree or some
thing. Set the hook (sort of) and was looking at the rod tip. The rod was bent but no movement? Gave a couple of cranks
on the reel, and wasnt shure if I was pulling up a branch. So gave a look in the water and it was ON. water temp was about
40 deg. Hope this gave you a little more visual.
Thanks alot guys
