| I notieced the AM80HF line specs changed as did lure wt. 1-6 to 2-6 oz. Other than the specs did they change much on the rods? Was this for 2006? |

Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | They changed both the avids and premiers for the 2006 season. Some lengths and actions changed. How the rods are actually made are still the same. Warranties changed slightly (for the better) but I can't remember what they changed to.

| I actually emailed St. Croix after I had purchased the 8ft HF musky rod, and then seen another one in a different store with different specs. They told me that the Avids have not been changed at all for 2006, they just changed the specs because of the majority of musky fisherman are now using braided line. The premiers however have been changed. |
