Subject: painting blades-powder

I have been using powder paints for the last couple days and still can't get a evenly distributed paint job. I was wondering if I have to prep the blades before I paint them. I have been using sand paper on the blades before I paint them. Is this the correct method? I have also heard of using acetone on the blades for preperation----The final question is what do I use for the finish product after they are painted? Thanks for the Help---

Powder painting big blades is tough. You almost need a fluid bed to get them to look good.

I airbrush blades, for less dampening of vibration. Powder knocks the vibe out. Too heavy for the blade size.
