Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Where are you planning to travel for your first/next muskie trip of the coming spring? Sue and I are headed to Arkansas in April, but no muskies where we are headed, so my first Muskie trip will be Pewaukee for the opener.

| Just got back from my first trip. Went to Kinkaid and got rid of the skunk on the first day, a 44.5
It was awsome to set the hook and thinking i was snagged, then once in the net, thinking I forgot to pickup batteries
for the digital. Thanks to my partner had a disposible, so i have to wait for developing. Then the weather turned cold and
no other fish to be seen. But the smile is still frozen on my face. |

Already sharpened every hook on every bait I own and I'm itching to try out all of the new baits that I've bought over the winter. |

We'll look forward to having you on the lake with all of us on Saturday morning. Theedzs, Sluggo, Mark, and Shep all meet at Sanks place and then hit the water. Last year Sanks had a fish on before the trolling motor was lock-in place and the morning radio show from SMOKIES was buzzing with the action of Muskiefirstr's.
How many more days?

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Steve, I am going to hold you to this. It's about time you came down here and fished the opener. Friday night at Smokey's Muskie Shop is always a blast.
Pewaukee and Okauchee are both great lakes and always put out fish on the opener.
Maybe we can do a Pewaukee vs Okauchee battle of the lakes for opening weekend. |

You been smelling to many diapers. You know that with all us Muskie1str's on Pewaukee that we'll smoke your Oldkrochee group. I think we need to have a challenge.... total inches of all fish caught for the day. What do you think?

If I get a different anntenae for the boat, I can chat with you boys on Pewaukee from Okauchee. I was out on Okauchee last summer and picked up Mike yapp'n away on the radio. I just couldn't talk back to him.

Location: Medford, WI | Two friends and myself are headed down next Tuesday night to the Cave for spring break from school. Can't wait to get out on some open water and have a chance at a musky. It's our first time down there, so we're just looking to learn a few things, hopefully catch a fish, but mostly have a great time learning some new water.
Does anyone know about how long it takes to get to the lake from central Wisconsin (Medford, to be exact)???
I know mapquest/Google says a little over 12 hours but those things can be way off sometimes.
Good luck everyone that is getting out soon, Jake Bucki |
