| Hey fellow Chainiacs,
Don't have my new boat yet, and today looked nice, I saw some posts under Musky Fever's thread and was wondering some things.
What were the water temps?
Did you see any fish?
What were ya throwin'?
Thanks,
Phil Cali (I'll be out as soon as I have my boat!)

| I'm going to take my new rig out with the wife and christen her on northern Illinois' biggest carp pond on Sunday. Will report when I get back. | |
| | |
| I did....
It was a slow morning warmest water was 37.5
and the water is very very very low.
And yes for everybody that knows me the boat did start...After about 45 min of F-ing around w/ it.
MUSKY ILLINI
"Now, he said "Sick 'em boy", but what I heard was, Chopper, "SICK BALLS".

| Speaking of the CARP pond,
It seems mid season to late season while I'm casting I always notice huge schools of almost sucker size carp swimming in huge numbers. I have always casted through them hoping some muskies would be lurking around, but have any of you guys ever had any luck fishing around these schools or noticed fish relating to these schools?
Just another question, and look forward to hearing more reports. And it's also good to hear I'm not missing the hot pre-spawn fishing, I should have the new boat in a week or two.

| Lunch Box, define christen and will there be video?
Yes, musky relate to the schools of carp and quillback. Quillback are smaller average size, all silver and there seems to be just as many in the lake system from what I can see.
