Top lure is a 9 inch Grandma and the bottom of course is a 16 inch Grunt. Wobble wobble!
Here it is:
(With DSL it takes about 30 seconds to load)

I may have joined your sister in the ranks of the morons! I can't get it to work on my computer either. What is the video played with? Quicktime, etc.?

| Actually as you can see the bigger Pike never ate it. What this video clearly shows is the maternal instinct all animals possess. This is a caring mother Pike carrying it's offspring to a new nesting site much like a cat does her kittens. You can also see she's not about to place her offspring in the new nest site until that pesty Navy Seal guy leaves. Also, I would like to point out to you lesser informed on the parental matters of fish. Is that the seemingly violent jerks of the mothers head as if to rip flesh or snap a spine is in fact really gentle sweeps to keep oxygenated water flowing across it's childs gills. |

I see in YouTube you can insert Code into a website. I will try that so my video is viewable on my website.

PS-As you can see in my video, the Grunt is trying to show the 9 inch Grandma how to swing wide to attract the elusive muskie... |

What does everyone think of the wobble?
One thing I thouhgt of, muskies have not seen anything like this and that is one of the keys in heavy fished muskie waters... Just a thought.
Thanks,

Location: Minnesota | Thanks guys. It is hard to sell these baits since most have not seen them in action. I know I would not be quick to buy a bait if I had not seen it. I know Aaron of http://www.muskytackleonline.com has had similar comments on my baits he sells on his website. I have had the video for a while but Snax got me reinterested in getting it on my website. Now I just need to get better footage of the lure once we get to ice out or I get into a pool.

Did you ever get a chance too take a look at the Grunt in your scuba gear? Didn't know if you guys made it that far last year or not.

| Nope I never got to run it last year. It's on the table for this year.
It's looking more than likely that the 2nd edition will be a go sometime in late spring. |

Location: Minnesota | 2nd Edition out! Thats great Mike! I hope you guys found a good deal for publishing. I know the pain of minimums ownign two small businesses. Takes a while to find those companies that want to deal with small runs. I just fourn a label company that makes awsome labels with no minimums! From food, lures, to cosmetics.

PS-Still working on that #*^@ video! For some reason it keeps getting turned off in YouTube. I am re-loading it now. SHould be up again under: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKuq5dKNFwE

Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan | In my opinon, nice video, but no wobble to the bait.....where is the thump? Lateral lines of the musky pick up on that vibration, especially in stained water and with that bait there is glide but not much wobble....

| I have to agree with rjbass great video but it's missing the thump that really turns the Muskie on. Hard to argue with the fish catching powers of the grandma though. It's not the wandering but that tight hard thump that puts them in the boat. |

Location: Minnesota | That was at 2 mph. When I re-take the video I will take some footage at 4mph and 6 mph. It gets moving and still has the wide wobble still at those speeds. If anything it may have a bigger thump than any other bait at that point. Need to test it though...
James
PS-One other note on "Thump".
If you need thump, why do glide baits work so well...No thump there. Pause but not thump...

| you should make a 9 inch bait so we can compare apples to apples or compare it against a 14" jake so at least it's similar. But holy crap does that thing swim wide!! |

Location: Minnesota | I ran it next to a 9 inch Grandma becasue most of us muskie nuts know what a 9 inch Grandma or Jake run like. I am not sure many own a 13 or 14 inch Jake or Grandma... Need to somehow run it under a yard stick or something with a top shot/video. |

I am not saying Glide Baits don't catch fish, but I will outfish any Glide Bait with Bucktails and Crankbaits day in and day out. I believe it is the "thump" from these type of lures that make them so effective. I like Glide Baits, they look good and are fun to fish, but they do not catch fish like these other baits do. I like your baits and your enthusiasm, but you asked for input and I gave you mine about the wobble on your bait. I would like to see them work at a faster speed like you said.... I wasn't criticizing, you asked for input........

| I think since they are just a big grandma if you put a bigger lexan lip on them in porportion to it's size you would get the same great action the smaller grandma has. Give the bigger lips the same angle as the grandma's and you will have a great bait even at low speed trolling. That metal lip is way to small for such a big bait. I'm speaking from experience because I used a grunt last season. |

No offense taken. I agree with the thump. In fact, it woudl be hard to disagree with "thump" looking at the GREAT catch rate of lures like the double cowgirl! Thanks for the post, I do appreciate honest feedback from the registered users.
Thanks,
James
