Anyone interested in any Perkas or heavy Perkas, contact Sworrall. Will be selling them for $20 a piece until they are gone.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, mainly physical, my hobby of lure making is going to cease to exist except on a "by request" status. It's getting harder to continue to make them, and I can't justify beating up my body for a few bucks here and there.
I have 7" and 10" blanks available, and once some warmer weather gets here I might make a few from time to time. But as of right now, Sworrall has my remaining stock, so contact him.
Anyone wishing to inquire about custom 10"ers or Perkas or Heavy Perkas, contact me via e-mail. I can't be certain about turn around time, because I don't know how I'll be able to function from day to day.
My thanks to all of my loyal customers and you guys that liked my work.
I'll try to produce some when I can, just because I love doing it. But making them and trying to sell them just isn't profitable.
I can't make enough to make it a business, and even as a hobby it's too costly and my back just can't handle doing more that just a little work every day.
Not sure how many Steve has left. Contact him for details.
Thanks,
Beav

Beav, I'm real sorry to hear that. Now I'm in a quandry: do I fish the heck out of those 10" Perkas I got or save them as Collectors Items?

You've done great work on a consistent basis. I hope things eventually turn around for you, you've been a delight to order from. all my best, m

You got to do it as a hobby, in my opinion, with a few dollors here and there thats o.k.
Beav I hope you will be doing well soon. Not sure what happen, but I hope you'll be feeling better. I
know what you mean about sore backs. I drive a gas tanker for 60 to 70 hours a week and that truck
will beat the crap out of ya. Then to come home and lean over lures to finish, or make is murder on the ole spine.

Sorry to hear that you're suffering Beaver. Maybe this is happening for a reason and there is something even more exciting about to happen in your life. Take good care my man.

could be all that squatin' over the livewell

but seriously, I can't wait to throw the lures I bought from you. I didn't get the Perkas before the season ended last, and having personalized gill and crappie patterns adorning the gunnel is killin' me. Thanks for your efforts Beav.

I wish. It's the 32 years that I spent working outside.
15 years picking up garbage, when you really picked it up by hand. Then 15 at The Water Dept., fixing broken water mains and hydrants and installing meters so I was always bent over, stooping or crouching. Now I'm paying for it.
I'll make some from time to time, but it'll be on a request basis. I have a box full of 10" blanks that are really kick, but I can't even drill and weight them. Going to the doc to see about more injections, but those are very temporary relief, if at all.
I'm not dead yet, so if you want any lures just drop me a line and check my status.
Thanks for all of the PM's coming in, I appreciate the kind words.....or perhaps it's just butt kissing to see if you guys can get on the list before I hang it up for good.
At least when I do croak, my daughter will have a couple Lakewoods full of MY lures that she can raffle off

Beav, I know you're just making light of a bad situation, but that's exactly what happened at my Muskies Inc meeting this past weekend. One of my chpater's long time members died recently and one of his good friends who is also a member was executor of his estate. They brought in all sorts of rods and baits - many custom Hughes Rivers, old spinners and cranks, some new stuff, and raffled it all off to raise money for the chapter. Wish I knew more about antiques, there was probably a small fortune to be made! God bless him, m

Right now, I'm not doing anything.
Taking out the garbage and shoveling snow was enough to put me down today.

That sucks Beav. Sorry to hear. I've got some of your stuff and will hold on to them for sure.
Not making enough money is bad enough, but what makes is worse is that I know it was something that you really enjoyed doing. Sucks not to be able to do stuff that you truly enjoy.
Hope to still run into you at the hideout once in a while my friend.
Take care, hope you get some relief in the near future.

Scott
