All,

What is the biggest "wobble" in a bait any of you know of? Trying to come up with another advertising point for my Grunt. From what I have found in my research my Grunt has a very wide wobble vs any other lures I have done research on. It may be the biggest wobble?? Just seeing if anyone knows of other lures with wide wobbles and if so how big. I have estimated mine at around 24-26 inches with no blow out at speeds up to 7mph. I plan on making some video in the spring with a floating measuring stick behind my lure side by side with a big Jake or Grandma and then want to see how fast I can troll it to force it to blow out of the water. Any info. is appreciated.

Thanks,
James

James,

If I was marketing your baits, I think one of your biggest draws has to be the side profile of the bait. Size, vibration, and color are the real keys to attracting fish and your baits have the largest side profile of any baits I know of. More profile = more visibility = larger strike zone = more fish. My .02.

Thanks Shane. Maybe I will play that angle. To add, on the turns I get that nice 45 degree angle.... I will think about it for a while.
Thanks for the reply. Did you get a chance to use your Grunt yet? I know you got yours late in the year. Let me knwo how you like it.

I don't know.....we were playing with one of your lures in the pool at the hoosier muskie hunters winter gathering and they have a heck of a big wobble. Haven't seen anything like it that I can think of. I think the wobble may be your most unique feature of the bait, other than the size. Luckily my little brother won one of your baits in the raffle at the event, so we can try throwing it out this summer.....he better let me throw it, though!

The Toad,
Thanks! I was wondering if it got any pool time. I was hoping it would. It is one thing to see a picture, one thing to hold a bait, and a HUGE thing to actually see the thing work in water. SNAX has it down with his videos. I really need to work on the videos this year. I think I need a tax write off on a DVD mini recorder or something... Again, thanks for the post and the info.

James,

I got a chance to troll it once in late November - no fish but great action. I just boat the lumber and plans to build a cedar strip rowtrolling boat so I wil spend more time with my Grunt in the fall. I saw Pastikas had your baits at the Milwaukee Musky Expo - you need to see if you can get someone to demo that bait in the bait tank they have there.
