Subject: Sharpen Hooks



I would like to know when sharpening hooks do i file towards the
point or away from it.Haveing moved from southwest Florida to
to the Minocqua area last July I am back into Muskie fishing after
a 30 year lay off.Any tips or advice would be greatly appreaciat-
ed.Thank you in advance

<p>I always sharpen my hooks towards the point. It will NOT leave a burr at the tip of the hook. For safety issues I use a long, fine tooth, ten inch file.</p><p>JIM</p>
