I have decided that I need to start using my GPS to its full capacity. I have a lowrance LCS-15 (?) with the Wis. chip. I generally use it to mark fish, humps weedlines etc and use the tracking device an awful lot for trolling and to find my way back to the dock. Anyone else have other ideas for me on how I can use this tool more effeciently and effectively?
Thanks

One of the most important features on any gps is the trail options. I usually go over the entire area and mark it with bouys all around the weedline. Then go to the feature of create a new trail. Then go and circle the entire weedbed with your trolling motor. After you're done press end trail.
This helps you in several different ways throughout the season. In the early summer months, you know that your lure will be over emerging weeds. Also, If your going to night fish it eliminates the boat control. All you have to do is follow your previous entered trail for that area. e-mail if any other questions-- Todd [email protected]
