Location: Central Iowa | Anyone have a problem with a Record not engaging right when you start cranking? Mine engages right away about 50% of the time and then the rest of the time I have to crank the handle maybe 1 or even 2 full revolutions before it will engage. Does anyone know what the problem is and if its fixable? |

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | It’s a problem with the spring plunger assembly. I had a problem with mine, but sent it in to Abu due to it still being under warranty. I have replaced the spring plunger assembly on the older C3’s I have had, and it’s no big deal. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | I did as well. I took it back where I bought it and they replaced it. I didn't have the next one for more than a week and the anti-reverse went out. Sent it back to Abu and they gave me a 7001LH. Problem solved.

Location: Central Iowa | sounds like I'll just take it into the warranty service center here in town and be done with it. |

| Two other things it could be, cold grease or a worn clutch arm. Don't bump the crank mid-cast that noise is the tip of the clutch arm grinding off |
