So when is everybody planning on arriving/kicking off the festivities? I'll be there Tuesday, fishing with Greg M, and I know sponge, mauser, and mikie are all meeting up at noon on Thursday. Anyone else making plans yet?

I think meeting every 2 hours is to soon. I would like to see it every 3 hours. If some fish near Scotts Creek or Caney Creek it's a long run for a lower HP boat back to Leatherwood. I run a 200hp so I'm not affected by the run, but sure would like the extra hour.

Cory Painter and I are heading down Wednesday.

What kind of tricks did you have in mind Mr. Smith? [:0]

I can show how to get a lure off of a stump in 15' of water with my new super cool Frabill Lure Retriever................

I won't be arriving until the wee hours of Thursday night. I figured you guys can do all the scouting on Thursday and then just put me on fish right away Friday (ha ha).

Anyone bringing Marine Radios? Might be nice to hear some chatter between the "on the water" meetings.

Hey, we were also promised stump-jumping contests (speed and distance)! What's the use of having a nice, new boat if we can't tear it up? m

Hey Shep!
Jason is leaving at midnight. Can you be ready to go?

Jason, if we could meet somewhere, it would be nice to drive together as we all live in the same area.

I will be bringing my marine radio for on lake communication also.

Jason, looks like you and Steve will be heading down without me.
Screwed up my neck and back during an excavation job at work today.
MD's and MRI's the next couple of days. No way I'll be able to travel much less fish.
All I can say is things that I can't say here!!!
This guarantees that the weather will be beautiful and the fishing will be the best ever....GUARANTEED!
And I thought just getting old sucked.
Well, at least I'm still above ground.

Saw the Doc today...X-Rays look OK but they want to do an MRI on my neck. Ice and meds and therapy for the next couple of weeks.
Nobody is more pissed that I'm not going than me.
You guys will have a riot anyway. Just keep the rest of us posted.
Definately will get together in Vilas this year. I think that I'll be doing 5 or 6 days around Memorial Day to make up for this missed opportunity.
