Milwaukee is in a larger facitity, comparable vendor list as far as numbers, excellent speaker lineup, has the huge demo tank and big crowds.

It is very comparable. I don't think the seminars are as good because there is not a presentation screen. However the bait demonstrations are pretty cool because they have a long tank where you can see them work under the water. There are a lot of vendors that are not at the chicago show too. If you can go to both,  it is worth it.

Both shows are great, but the Milwaukee show's lure demo tank is the BEST!!!!
You get to see the lures from the side and below (like a musky see's it)
The seminars are good at both shows along with the vendors.

Like said earlier, if you can go to both GO! There both great!!

Milwaukee has less at least 2 or 3 years ago it did. But I love the space you get. I get claustrophobic at the Chicago show. You get a better chance to look at things in Milwaukee. Defiantly go to both if you can. I'll probably be there this year.

The swap meet is set. I just need to get together with Steve, and get a flyer together. Saturday Night, at the Midway in Brookfield.

I go to both every year and enjoy them both. The Chicago show has a lot of excitement because it's the first show of the year. Everyone is there and the new lures are being introduced. I find Milwaukee a little more laid back. More room and a great demo tank. Its a good chance to buy all the lures that I looked at in Chicago but didn't buy.

I am looking forward to the show.
It will be my first as an exhibitor.
We will be introducing our wood jerk bait there.

I enjoy this show but he needs a new facility,,basicly in a horse barn,,and you have to pay for parking...I miss the little 'mini' workshop seminars they used to have in the small rooms why did they get rid of those????

I agree that the Chicago show is really crowded, I wonder if they've thought about looking for a bigger facility. that's why I like the Milwaukee show a lot better. This is my 10th year working in the Smity Bait booth with the Smity family and really enjoy getting to talk to everyone that stops by the booth. Thats the one thing I don't misss with Chicago. Hope to see everyone there and also put faces to the site name.

Is Mader's Restaurant still in town?
It used to have fanastic German food.
It's been a long, long time since I was there.

Yes, Mader's is still downtown, and the food is still great. So is the Bavarian Wursthouse on Appleton and Hampton. Good German food, maybe a bit more middle class as to menu and price. The roastbraten is awesome.

Yes, the color pattern is called midnight tiger.
Glad you like it ... better yet that the fish like it too.
Sounds like you had a good week end.
Please send me pictures of the fish you caught.
