Does Shoal Lake, situated just north of Lake of the Woods, have muskies in it? I got on a website for a resort and it said pike and walleye fishing, but a fellow I talked to in a bait shop said there was muskies there. If it contains muskies how is the fishing there?

Thanks

I fished shoal lake once about five years ago lake holds monster walleyes but is catch and release only(there are some different regulations because the native reservations control the majority of the lake) never saw a muskie there but would think there would have to be a few. The lake is spring fed and has very strong springs winipeg gets almost all there drinking water from schoal lake and schoal lake almost always flows out into lotw depending on water levels

Location: On my favorite lake!
I have fished shoal lake. The fish are there you just have to know where to go. A lot depends what time of year you go. It also lives true to it's name so be careful. There are plenty of unmarked rocks and can be especially fun if the water levels are down. email me [email protected] and I will try to help you.
