Web has had its hot times a few weeks back to start the year off, but that has been it.Had a few people go down, but that it.
With the Musky shows in full twist and old man winter showing his grip, its time to show you guys some huge pike and skies on tip ups! hehe

Bring on the ice.

I still need a few pike over 40" for my ice goal.

Talked to Vince Wierick at the Chicago Show. He has 47 in his boat so far in 2007 on Webster.

The weather looks horrible. High today of 33 with rain/ice rain mix...low of 20 tonight. I had 36 degree water temps last Wednesday. The high/lows for the next few days are as follows...25/12 28/21 35/25 28/20 27/24 28/22. As you can see...ice will be here very soon! The winds are supposed to be 10-20 tonight so it should stay open but very doubtful will be open Tuesday morning with a low of 12.

Parts of Tippecanoe may still be open through the week but am not sure about that.

Sawmill lake was completely froze over this morning. I am going to check out the rest of the lakes this evening.

Winter IS inevitable, but it should be short this year. You will be back on the water in no time..

I talked to Chae at the show and we thought ice up would probably start this week given our bitter cold weather. Guess I'll be back in March

My channel is frozen all the way to the lake the edges of town has a skim and the main lake has huge ice bergs floating. Kuhn lake ramp is all the way iced shut also. Looks like we are down to tippy for a while unless they have the chain across the ramp.

The chain on Tippy is open. There was a small piece of ice floating around but that was all I could see. Most of the lake is still fishable but not sure for how long.

We made it out on Webster last night but I am sure it was the last (4 more in the boat). There was a small channel going to the main lake through the shallows. Next 10 days there are no high temps over 31! Tippecanoe is still wide open from the dance hall ramp.
