a couple of people have asked me about these rod sleves:

i think they're the cat's meow...easy on/easy off, snug fit, grommet to hang your rods vertical in storage, protect your rod eyelets - especially going into/out of boat rod tubes or throwing rods in the back of the truck, won't catch hooks, etc.
and all for less than the price of replacing one busted eyelet...

i see they're now offering XL sizes for rods up to 8 1/2' as well!

i'm not sure who will be carrying them at the show, but they should be easy to find if you ask around.
they list Kurt's Island Sports and Thorne Bros. as retailers, so that'd be a good place to start.

otherwise order online:

A friend of mine made rod sleeves like these about 10 years ago. They're pretty cool. Nice to see reasonably priced stuff for a change.

I've been looking for something just like this, as my rod lockers do not hold 8+ foot rods, this will help protect my sticks in transit and when running across the Pond. Going to vist Thorne Bros and pick a couple up!

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

Great idea! Might have to grab a few. The nylon rod sleeves always rip on me.

Ordered these off the site and had them 4 days dater. Put one on my 8'6" rod and it fits perfectly! Really a nice product.

Lambeau, thanks for the tip and the link!
