what is T'ing a hook? I've never heard of this til today.

It is bending the two tangs or hook points of a treble so they are 180 degrees from each other forming a T when looked at from the bottom side of the treble. Minimizes hook rash on the lure and can increase hookups since a hook point has a harder time of imbedding itself into the bait. The only negative I have seen is with some really erratic baits, they can hang up on the leader more frequently.
