Subject: Metallic Paint Questions?

I am trying to find matallic paint for my spinnerbait heads. I want them to have a shiny/reflective head but I cannot find any paint that will do this. I know that some bass spinnerbaits have painted heads with these qualities so the paint is out there somewhere. Does anyone use paint like this or know what brands have these qualities? Thanks

Try a hobbie shop. They have a ton of metallic paints. You can also get very fine "sparkle" powder to mix in your clear coat.

You are better off putting fine crystals in your clearcoat if you are going to brush or dip them. I used to do it with jig heads all of the time. Plain black paint with blue and red and purple glitter in the clearcoat is a killer.
I use House of Kolor metalics on my lures, but I still add glitter to my Envirotex for the best glitter effect.

I don't know if your into powder coating your heads, if not look into it. Results can be awesome! very durable finish. Here are a couple links to metallic powder coating sites. http://www.caswellplating.com/powder/powder_colors2.html http://www.columbiacoatings.com/1152andupt45676ty78yj789345erfrg546...

reel good metallic paints are available in automotive colors.. if you are spraying on plastics or lead they are excellent. .a note to you . if using pearls or metallics insert a couple small ball bearings in your spray bottles. . this keeps from settling in the bottom of your spray bottles

Dan,

Just curious, what did you end up getting?
