Your a musky fisherman if when watching the college bowl games, instead of paying attention to the games, you are looking intently at the uniform colors to see which ones will look good as wrap colors on your next rod..................... PS

1) Your wife catches you checking the wind direction and cloud status everywhere you happen to be as you walk outside, even if you are hundreds or thousands of miles from the closest muskie water!...or
2) No matter where you are or what type of people you are around, you manage to find a way to bring muskie fishing into the conversation!

Happy New Years Everyone!

I'll be picking up a Green and Gold one in Chicago.

Here's to Rex Grossman being the Packers best player on Sunday night.

There's just something wrong with that statement.

You know youre a muskie fisherman when you catch yourself figure 8-ing in the pickle jar for that fattie dill pickle.

You get a box in the mail from Rollie and Helens (or Thornes, Pastika's, Smokies, etc.) and you have to open it to see what it is.

I like that one! A lot, I love my mail order musky stuff.

When every creek, puddle, lake, or bog I drive by I wonder if it could be stocked with muskies.
When I find myself doing an imaginary figure eight while standing in the living room.
Sharpening a box of 7 o/t hooks to pass the time in the bathroom.
Last but not least I concure with the changing the subject to musky fishing even when I'm around someone who could absolutely care less.

You use your high dollar bass rod to "fish" new wire through the bend in your boat trailer when fixing the tail lights.

you have more wealth tied up in the baits hanging than you do your suits hanging. and your suits are all from Brooks Brothers.

(I wear Brooks with Jerry ties.)

...if you've ever woken yourself and your wife up in the middle of the night by setting the hook in a dream, making your arms and shoulders gerk back in reality. And then when she askes you what the problem is and you tell her that you were setting the hook on a muskie, she simply says "Oh" without the slightest bit of surprise and rolls over and goes back to sleep.

It was not the first time I've ever woke myself up setting the hook, but it was the first time I'd ever woke her up.

ranger and fishwizard have said it all

14 hours of fishing with no action and still convinced that maybe the next cast -- too true

I live 2,000 miles from where I fish muskies and still spend way too much time, including sleep time thinking about them. If fact I still have dreams about a monster that followed my eagle tail to the boat on Crow lake in Ontario about 9 years ago

You refer to everything in life in between musky fishing as "waiting"

and when fishing for musky you refer to it as "living"
