I won't know untill tomorrow. Probably the casio fishing watch. Other than that, if I want fishing stuff, I end up buying it.

The best gift was when I visited with my parents today. My dad had broken out his fishing gear after 20 years in the basement. I was absolutely pleased when he said he'd be my muskie fishing partner this coming season. My mom wants to go now too! My gift to my dad is a trip with the Extreme One. He'll get that tomorrow, and I can't wait.

my wife and I exchanged gifts this afternoon, and I received the triple pack from Doc Bruce Samson: Your Lowrance/Eagle DVDs parts 1 and 2 and Mastering Boat Control VHS. Heading to my wife's parents for dinner tonight and hosting my family tomorrow......all of my hints were muskie fishin' and boat centric. Hope to report more later.

update: muskie related from the in-laws is a fleece Musky Hunter jacket. They tried finding a muskie ornament without success.
update2: muskie armor gloves, Smokey's gift certificate, Angler's Edge Plus, Broadway lure storage bag and cooler

Safe and Happy Holidays to all, Mike

I casted all season down here in Ky and did not do very well. It's my first full Musky season, and I am also new to Cave Run Lake. Thought I might also give trolling a serious shot, so I order some Loke crankbaits from Lake St. Clair Musky Shop. They should be delivered a day or so after Christmas.

I have read lots of good things about trolling (and sometimes casting) Lokes. If anyone has any experience with these lures I would sure like to hear from you. Of course they are made of wood, and will inevitably take a beating once I catch some fish on them, but quite frankly I'd sacrifice lures for catching fish anytime.

With what I have purchased over the past year I could lose dozens of lures for the casue and never even miss them. I fished for Bass for years, but this Musky things is truly an unclassified illness.

I got some very cool baits so far. I got a 10" Timberwolf, custom painted by Muskynightmare. So thanks a lot Rob and to ShaneW for making it. I also got lots of cash from my parents and my sister gave me some $$ to spend at www.muskytackleonline.com. I treated myself to a Keith Eldrup squirko and a new turmoil. Also got a couple fishing shirts.

Been good so far! And haven't been to Mom's house yet. Two Double Cowgirls, a few dawgs, 7000iHSN reel, and two Ranger Boat hoodies. Hope everyone is having a good Christmas and getting stuff they can put into use next season. Merry Christmas!

I am very thankfull that I got to spend time with all of my family and my amazing fiance this Christmas. I also am very thankfull for a VERY musky Christmas........First off I found out that I had won the new 8' rod from Keith at Pro Edge, then I got to my dads and got a nice Frabill Net, 2 Hang Tens and an Instigator. Then I got home to my moms and got a new Kodak digital camera 6.1 megapixel with 10x Optical Zoom. Looks like a great camera! I couldnt have asked for a better Christmas!

I got a great variety of spoons for pike and lake trout. A hook sharpener, and a very cool picture frame. Best of all I spent some great time with my son (Pointer), and my future daughter-in-law. It was a great Christmas for me!

All the best,
mikie

One of my best gifts was three 5 inch crankbaits from Gene 'Wide Glide' Richardson that I just had to try out. I went to Mountwood Park lake, home of the WVa record Tiger muskie, and gave them a try Christmas Eve. Awesome baits. One has a back-up rise action that was great for crashing timber.

It made me sad to think of all the jerkbaits I have that won't get thrown now that I have these cranks. Funny, I used to use crankbaits almost exclusively for bass, but never hardly at all for muskie. That could now change.

I also got a 7 inch Wide Glide in bright orange and not one, not two, but three freaking 10 inch Perkas! Dude, those are awesome, thanks so much Steve for picking me out three good ones. I just need to get to some clearer water and learn to use them. Rounding out the haul was a topo atlas of Wisconsin. Guess where mikie's heading in June? m

I had a great christmas with family. Not much under the tree dealing with muskies, but I did get to pick up my new truck on Christmas eve. 04(new to me) GMC sierra crew cab. It will be a lot more fun pulling the boat around this year. I also got some cash to put towards a new camcorder. Does anybody have an opinion on good or bad camcorders?

I got a Old Wooden Bait company jointed crankbait, an old swim wizz in cisco, and a Rozzo bait. Never heard of the Rozzo, but they are all in perfect shape. I also got a 2 gallon compressor for the airbrush, should make bait painting alot easier .......
