Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Just got off the phone with the detective handling the theft of my equipment. It sounds like they have recovered nearly all of it!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to go down to the Sheriff's Dept to ID it, but from his description it sounds like I am getting nearly all of it back!
I tip my hat to all Law Enforcement people. To quote a PGA commercial, These Guys Are Good!
I will have more details later, hopefully the tie tack is still on my Lakewood! |

| Wow that's great news!! Not very often you actually get things back.
Might ask the police if instead of prosecution and going to court an all that if you could just have 10 minutes alone with whoever did it...

...... Hope the perps are in the cooler.
I think Steve must have been working the crime desk for the Rhinelander Daily News back in the 40's and 50's. I knew there was a fedora with a press pass in the band somewhere in his background.

Location: Clintonville, WI | This news has made my day, Norm. Heck other than my kids' reactions on Christmas morning, it made my season......VERY happy for you.
If the perps aren't caught or get off light, I could always call some of my acquaintances from the past for you Norm. You know, the kind of acquaintances that specialize in "secret justice". I was always a good kid but some of my party buddies, well, let's just say they didn't grow up to be bankers |

| That is freakin' awesome.
Now, normally I'm a pretty staunch supporter of the death penalty, and this one is kind of border line, but I think that an appropriate punishment in this case would be you and them in a room. They, of course would be bound and gagged and blindfolded and allowed to wear headgear....it can't be cruel and unusual......you would be armed with an 8' St Croix and the lures of your choice. In this case I would opt for either a 10" Suick or something with 6- 6/0 trebles. You would then get to give them each 30 lashes, and you would get to bring along a "net man" who would be armed with the Knipex and replacement hooks. On second thought, make it needlenose Vise-Grips and shake 'em off like the snakes that they are.
Glad you got your stuff back, and kudos to the Law Enforcement people up there.
