I've seen a bunch of these on ebay of late. The price seems really fair but I'm not sure if the bait runs well? Also why are there so many out there has the bait been discontinued?
thanks

Yes, D1ck Gries quit making them a number of years ago and a person purchased the company, but never made any lures.

They did run quite well. I liked them alot, and in fact they were my favorite tail bait for awhile(till the TR came about). I beleive that Joe Bucher designed some of the features of the topraider after the Topkick.

The Topkick has water skim over the top of the bait, I haven't scene another one like it. My problem with them was they got out of tune on every fish and I had a hard time getting them to make that killer plop again. I am amazed that nobody has copied his body design.
