Location: The Yahara Chain | The plan was to end the season on Thursday with a certain moderator, but when I saw the weather forecast for Thursday I bailed on said moderator and decided that my season would end today. I invited said moderator to join me but he declined...sighting a desire to fish the last day of the season regardless of the conditions. Well Packer stadium guy you should have played hooky today. I ended up boating four fish...46,44,42 and 36. The 44 was caught on a minnow bait and the other three were caught on my Dinner Bell (coming to a buy and trade board near you in the very near future). I also lost another low 4o inch fish on a Wabull. I saw the Wabull hit as it exploded on it about 20' from the boat, awesome hit, I just couldn't keep her pinned up. The 44 and the 42 had DNR tags in them so it will be interesting to see how much they have grown.I couldn't ask for a better end to my season.

Wanted to get out Sunday, but had other obligations at home. Storm hit today, forecast calls for highs below freezing until Friday. Water temps were 44.5 last Friday...I may have a day or two left, but who knows, with Utah weather, I might get 2 more days in T-shirts too. I'm putting the tire chains in the truck tomorrow...

That big turkey your wife wrangled for Thanksgiving helped you keep the Mojo flowing.

Most of those pics are taken by myself with a timer, I am stressing trying to get the fish up for the photo. Although I am not a big smiler, I take an old school Bud Grant approach to it. I don't feel the elation until after I watch them swim away. You can usually hear me out on the water after I release a big fish!! |
