| I just noticed the headline on the main page announcing the Women On The Water fishing trip series. I'm going to be helping Patricia with some of these trips. Please notice that some of the trips are also designed for couples and some are not gender specific. However, any of you folks who are interested in getting more women involved in this sport should definitely check it out. She has already put a ton of effort into the preliminary aspects of these programs and I know it will be well worth the effort for any participants. |

| In response to the WOW trips, they are a fun while learning experience. I was able to attend the 1st one last year, and absolutly had a great time. The camaraderie with a group of women all with the same goal, was quite the experience. My reason for attending was simply to see if other women really enjoyed muskie fishing as much as I do. Here's something to think about: If you have a wife, girlfriend, sister, Mom etc., with any interest at all, or would just like to give it a try, GO FOR IT.
Patricia puts alot of heartfelt effort into these schools and it shows, top notch.

Actually the program sounds really cool. Once I figure out what I'm doing, I would love to get my wife involved with something like this. We always had a great time playing golf together, and she enjoyed golf lessons quite a bit.
Something like this might help me talk her into buying a boat.

Location: The desert | I've gotten lucky enough to teach Becky how to fish for muskies. For the most part she has enjoyed it. We have both learned quite a bit through it. I have learned that she is willing to go, as long as it isnt freezing cold out and not to take her out for a full day on the water. She has learned how to cast, figure eight and that these things are #*^@ed stubborn! Unfortunately I didnt get her on her first fish this season, but next season that is my goal. I have also learned that I enjoy teaching people to fish and watching them catch fish, especially if they are not used to fishing all the time. What a great sport we have!

Location: Muskegon Michigan | My wife is pretty good. 103 Muskies this year was good enough to be the all time single year best for muskies inc womens division. She is the 2006 womens champion. she also caught half of them casting. and has a 47,48,49,49,51,52 for big fish. Michelle King is her name here is a little pic of her with a nice fish

| I got y wife her 1st fish this year and she's hooked !! She got to satch me put the hammer down on a sucker fish last week and she loved it !! So did my buddy who's never fished with suckers , they both commented on the hook set !! We lost 1 and got 1 @ 38.5" , I was pi$$ed about the lost fish , but they bith shed a little light on it by saying " Well , it wasn't the lack of hookset that's fo sure !! " So the 1 we got in the net got the steel a little harder , no losing that one !! My wife wants to set the hook next time , too bad she doesn't like the cold , looks like I'll have to do it with winter here !! It's nice to have her with us on the boat , she's alot of fun !!! Plus she's a hell of alot better looking than MuskieMike !!! |

Location: Genoa City, WI | I spent 2 days at the first WOW and had a great time! It was great fun helping out, showing presentations and moreso watching the ladies gain confidence out on the water, loading and unloading boats, backing the trailers in and more!

| I completely agree Rob. The women who participated really showed what they're made of and learned some of the things that we take for granted. Launching boats at a crowded landing can be an intimidating experience yet they all did a great job and then working on things like boat control, reading electronics, plus the mechanics of casting, figure eights, and a few million other details. Rob is also being a bit humble. He was a big part of the instructional staff and provided Shimano equipment for some of the participants. |

| I just wanted to post a quick update. There are still a couple openings in both the beginner and intermediate women's musky schools. Also a couple for the womens spring canoe outing. We have to finalize lodging commitments very shortly so if you're interested in any of these trips now is the time for action. Visit Patricia's website for details.
I've had a few people ask about the difference between the beginners and intermediate schools. Aside from some more advanced tactics in the intermediate school the main consideration is in boat handling abilites. If you sign up for the intermediate class we assume that you know how to launch and operate your boat with a reasonable degree of proficiency. Beginners class will include sessions on launching, boat operation and handling on the water, operating the trolling motor, electronics, and the all important loading the boat procedure. You can also feel free to contact me with questions. Patricia is out of town but can be reached via e-mail.
