Your help with a few questions

Subject: Your help with a few questions

I have some questions I was hoping everyone could help me with. The questions are based on your own experience and insight. First, how many of you have raised a fish and then returned later that day/night and caught the fish on the same bait you raised it on earlier? What conditions have "Hot" baits turned off? Of those of you who throw a lot of bucktails, what is your best color? I would be greatful for all your information that you are willing to give.

I've raised fish but never caught them on the same bait later. Normally, I switch and that seems to produce. A cold front always seems to turn off the "Hot" bait that I'm doing well with. And an orange blade with a black body is a great producer for me.

Question 1)
Many times, beyond count. I usually give a fish time to set back up again. Depending on conditions, that can be minutes or hours, but will go back after her with the same lure.
2)
Any change in conditions can change the 'hot' presentation to cool or cold, so learning what the changes in conditions do to the fish's behavior is important, and varies widely by body of water and strain of muskie.
3) Bucktails are part of my everyday arsenal. I like black with orange, purple with orange or pink, and all the other standard patterns in that order. The black bait is my dark day lure, the purple my bright day lure.

LOTS of variables in the equasion to the questions you ask, and the answers may be too general as a result.

Hope this helps some!
