As many are still interested in fishing until the end of the season, please post lake access information for your local waters. It is my hope to fish open water the weekend after Thanksgiving, but like others, I'll need help finding open landings. I would like to hit a cisco, trout or smelt lake, but if not, the WI river near Wausau should be open.

Please post.
Name of Lake and County.
Open or Closed?
Location of landing?

Those that are still fishing thank you in advance for your time.

just drove from minocqua to houghton, mi. ... the whole area is wide open and better than last weekend was. it is getting cold again ... so some smaller lakes might tigthen up a bit, but looks like a great weekend if you're planning to fish.

Just got back from White Sand Lake in Vilas Cnty. Wide open...no signs of ice. Went by Trout and it was the same story as expected.
No fish...but marked quite a few laying directly on the bottom in 25-40 ft.

I was in Oneida Friday...most if not all lakes were open...with the forecast they are calling for warmer than normal temps this week I'd suspect most lakes will be fishable until next weekend...
Action was spotty for us...we got one 41"er in the boat...lost a 40" on a sucker and I brought up a few fish that looked at "The Pounder" dawg I was tossing....

monday 11/20 ... drove by minocqua, katherine, big carr and little tom this morning. katherine and minocqua tightened up a bit overnight ... the other two are open. it was cold last night and surely firmed up a lot of water. we're on the razor's edge and just a few more cold nights will start to reduce the number of lakes to the final frontier.

Just got back from checking a favorite waterfowl/musky lake about 20 miles from Eau Claire for hunting tomorrow. Much to my surprise 90% of it had about 1/4 inch of ice on it. Passed two smaller lakes on the way back both were solid ice.

37 degrees with a foredast high in the 40's and windy here in Oneida County this morning, no ice forming today. The larger lakes are all wide open.

yah Steve ... same here in minocqua .... mild temps. overnight last night and lots of warm wind ... skimmed lakes with access to the wind have opened up again, so right now looks like there are plenty of options with continued mild temps. (daytime at least) might make it an open weekend to fish.

word is that all the beer on the island is cold though ... so, either way it's a good idea to venture north for one last hurah!

Anyone know the status of White Bear and Bald Eagle? I heard the landing bay on Bald was frozen as of a few days ago. Hoping to hit either this weekend. Thanks in advance.

The ice went out here at Clear Lake this past monday, I am on my way to three mile this weekend. Kinda wish we could have some more of those 80 degree days at the end of the week but oh well.
