I herd second hand that there was a buck taken with bow last week that green scored like 235. It was shot in the Menomonee area of Wisconsin. Can anyone from that area confirm? I think if it scores close to the green score after the drying period, it will be Wisconsin’s largest bow kill.

Ed,

I know of a buck, big non-typical, that was floating around the e-mail and forum scene that was shot in Adams County. Got directed to me as Adams County WI, but in reality it was shot in Adams County Ohio by an Amish guy. The thing was huge and scores roughly what you posted. Picture of it with a local DNR warden in the new issue of North American Whitetail, with a follow article in the plans.

Jim,

You just never know these days with the Internet and all. I talked with a guy last week that had a buddy that was bow hunting in the Menomonee area last weekend. His buddy registered a doe at a sport shop in the area and the shop owner said he just missed seeing a huge buck. The buck he was told, green scored about 235.

Just wondering if it was true or just a story the shop owner told him?

Thanks,

Ed

I saw a picture of this deer everybody is talking about at the local bait store. One word explains it-MASSIVE. I did not think a Whitetail could grow that big in the lower 48. If I can get the picture I will post it.

I got a picture of a dandy taken by New Richmond that looks like the one you are talking about. 16 point monster. I don't know how to post pics or I would. If some one wants to put the pics up I will email them to you.
