I don't want to debate whether its necessary to go into super stealth mode shutting down your sonars, etc. Do fish care, well, let's assume it can matter sometimes. My question then, how to shut down the transducers, but keep on your GPS map? I'm on some pretty rocky structure now and then and don't want to repeat any previous bumps to my lower unit, so I rely on the mapping to follow contour lines or avoid previously marked rocks, etc. Is their an easy way to shut off the sonars? One unit is connected to a MinnKota Universal Sonar motor, the other to a regular transducer. Do I have to literally unplug the ducers from the units or is their a setting or something easier? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I would just unplug the transducer and avoid electronic headache. Maybe takes 30 seconds to unplug heh. Just my2cents worth. Maybe a good idea to bring up to a manufacturing rep at a sports show tho.

On the 332c, there is a STOP CHART command on the menu that also stops the sonar. It's on p.94 of your manual (which is available at lowrance.com if you don't have the paper copy).

I imagine there is a similar command on the 25c. All of my Lowrance units over the years have had that capability.

NOw you're talking! I'll have to try that and see if it stops the ducers' clicking, etc. Thanks.
