Location: Kildeer, IL | With the current warm up trend, let's start a discussion on how you tackle an Indian summer.
Do you fish deeper or shallower?
Do you speed up or slow down?
Do you still drag a sucker?
Weedlines or Rocks?
Flats or Breaks?
You don't have to answer all of these, just let us know what you do. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Since the water will not warm much over a few days of 50 degrees, I don't change a thing except the amount of clothing I wear! |

Location: Athens, Ohio | Dude, I'm gonna fish it! 70* this Friday down at Cave Run, that should get them fat mamas moving!
I'm guessing shallow, slow gliders depending on water temps. I can't fish properly without throwing a few big bucktails, and I've got a couple that may just do the trick.
I'd be thrilled if there was anything resembling a topwater bite, too. m |

Location: nationwide | Don't change a thing. Still fish right on the bottom in 18-25 feet of water. I'm with Steve Worrall. The warm weather effects me more than it does how I fish.

Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | I was up last weekend on the Cisco Chain. water temps were at 37-38º. I couldn't get a fish to move in water less than 30'. I had my slip floats set between 23-25 and did ok.
Agreed, this weather isn't going to get warm enough to change too much, in northern Wisconsin. I believe this warming trend will only reach about 55º in Land O lakes. I guess the big question is..Will we still have open water for the gun/deer opener up north?

| even with the small amount that the water will warm up, Im talking near deep edges. I would check the shallows nearby. just on top of the breaks.
We have been finding fish shallow still, for what its worth. It doesnt have to be 4-5 degree warm up to make fish active or take notice to change location. 1 degree in the fall can be huge sometimes.

Location: nationwide | Last weekend on the flowage we never saw the water temp above 36 degrees. Had the lowest water temp we have ever seen in a boat at 31.7 degrees. Albeit it was in a shallow lagoon with alot of broken ice in it. Even if the air temperature would get to 70, the way I fish in the fall, shorefishing exclusively, my suckers are right on the bottom.
