Congrats to Brad and Kirk on their big win on the Fox chain, 3 days of prefishing with no fish seen, day 1 no fish seen, when they ran into a walleye guy who told them that he just lost a musky on a jig. They started jigging J-mac with a rubber tail and got their first fish in less than 15 minutes, and stuck another fish 30-45 minutes later. Then pop a 44" in last hour of day 2 to retake the lead for good. You could hear them scream across the lake in excitement. Fox chain left a lot of teams puzzled, many teams saw no fish prefishing or during the event, or a couple of little ones. I don't think there will be any teams looking to revisit that body of water in the near future.

Congrats to all who caught fish

Congrats definitely go out to Brad and Kirk on a tough bite.
They are great fisherman and have proven it over the years. I say bite because we definitely saw many very nice fish that just had lock jaw, including what I would possibly call a 50". Just seemed the smaller fish under 30" were eating which is a positive for the fishery in future years as these smaller fish will get bigger!
We learned on Sunday of a team that during the tournament lost a 50" at the net only about 100 yards away from where we saw are sweet-heart. Just like a female to let you down.

Congrats to all that caught fish.

Troy z after we were there the time befor this championship alot of anglers were not anxious to go back there. I'm sure that the boat traffic was alot less now then it was the last tournament there.

Troy,

That is a very tough time of the year on the Fox Chain. Post turnover. Spring, summer and pre-turnover fall are much better. The Chain will pick up in a week or two. It would have been worse if they had had it two weeks sooner.

FVR had their 1 day tournament the week before the PMTT. 70 boats and only 3 fish caught. There spring tournament is much better.
