| Hi I am looking for a scorce where I can purchase 100 muskie fingerlings to stock a local lake. Any Info would be appreciated |

| Search yahoo under muskie fingerlings. There use to be several places that will ship them to you. Last I remember they were around 7 or 8 bucks for 5 to 6 inchers. |

Location: New Brighton, MN | Is that legal? Don't you need DNR permission? Is it a private lake? Sounds interesting though. |

| I believe that if its a private lake you do not need permission to stock it. |

| Wow
Somebody better tell the fish!
Troy, what does that mean for all the clubs who stock Leech strain fish? Is there some permitting process that needs to happen?
If what you say is true the ramifications to our stocking programs are going to be pretty severe.
And what's that thing in your profile picture?

Location: Yahara River Chain | esoxaddict, that "thing" is called a dinner bell and is a HUGE bucktail made by Troy (did I mention HUGE?). I think he uses 3 chickens to dress the tail of that "thing"
As for the Leech Lake study, I believe they will allow LL eggs to be transported. Let's hope the WDNR is able to get their hands on a few and is able to raise them next year as they had a tough time this year. The Capital City Chapter of MI will address this issue at the next board meeting.

| Another source needs to be found, developed for LL strain fish,,Minnesota muskie farm has rearing ponds but there not the size of the atlantic ocean,,Understand that the Minnesota DNR also buys fish from them to meet their quotas has the state has mandated that the dnr support farming and with all the private intrests buying fish some Minn lakes are not getting their stocking quota |
