Walleye fishing stunk on The Mississippi River, and when we unpacked the truck I realized that in my haste (and constant loss of brain cells) I forgot to take the box with all of my bow-hunting necessities...releases, bath towels, no scent spray,,,and everything else needed for a hunt. So Taylor and I took a walk in the woods, and after traveling less than 200 yards into the woods, we backed out when we discovered some major pre-ruttting activity. We headed out to the corn field...all 3 sides are still uncut...and we couldn't walk anywhere without cutting big tracks and rubs and scrapes. I'm going to head back up in little 2-day jaunts whenever I can. I suggest that we make our trip out there a serious one instead of just a stroll....if you know what I mean.
WHITETAILFIRST....I love it!
