| Believe it or not, I am nervous more than anything right now...
Mostly it's because I only have about half the warm clothes I'm going to need for the trip right now, and my rods, reels, tools, and tackle are scattered between the trunk of my car, my truck, my garage, and my basement. (I gotta get a boat so I have someplace to put all my musky stuff, how sad is that?)
Make a Plan
Buy more clothes
Make a List
Pack
Then I'll feel better
In preparation for the trip I decided to take tomorrow off work, and spend it getting my lures/rods/reels/etc all organized and figure out what I'm going to take up to PI.
Then a buddy called and asked if I wanted to drive up to WI and fish Friday. Then another buddy called and reminded me that we're fishing Saturday.
Too busy fishing to get ready for a fishing trip?? LOL

Location: Northwest Chicago suburbs | Nice ride. Bad thing about getting it this late in the season is the limited road time. When I bought my boat during the month of February I swear I practically slept in it for a month and a half before I had the chance to put it out on the water.

Location: Northwest Chicago suburbs | If you question "going up this weekend" is in reference to PI, then yes. I'm leaving Chicago Saturday at 4 am and expect to be out on the water by 1:00. I will be up there when your caravan arrives Wednesday but unfortunately I have to head back home on Friday so I can pack and get on a flight to China on Sunday.

| EA just bring your glider collection. That is alllll you need up there! hah!

| If I bring all my gliders and a beer for each glider I can stay drunk for 4 days!
And get a bunch of follows
My gliders should work better since I named them all Nelson... |
|
|
|
| i heard that Team Putahorseshoeupmybutt is only going to be using gliders from EA's collection on Saturday...while drinking 2 cases of beer.
are the rumors true? is that your secret technique?
excited for next week? YES.
after picking Sorno up at the airport on Tuesday, i'm rushing to the doctor to listen to our coming baby's heartbeat for the first time, then pretending to sleep for a few hours before rushing up north to stay toasty warm while on the water for the next 6 days of fishing!
countdown: T - 5 days, 16 hours...

Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | Through many years of trial and error, fishing followed by drinking, up in Vilas County. I've found that Southern Comfort Old Fashions are the way to go as fas as overall drinking quality. Beer may be the quick N easy route, but there's nothing more enjoyable than peering out at nature over the top of a 20oz glass of pure Heaven. Yes, your vision may be blurred after a couple...but that's ok, because you'll be sipping on the Nectar of the Gods. (HINT: Add a drop of Maple Syrup)

| IF we drank 2 cases of beer and used EA's gliders that is about the only way Team WishTheyHadAHorseshoeUpTheirButt is going to win.....
No gliders will be thrown by us next weekend....we might drink some beer, but not 2 cases...
No secret techniques by this team...grandmas, dawgs and suckers will get the job done. |

Hilarious...I have this vision of you guys dressed in your cold weather gear, huddled around the ultrasound, with Sorno cheering you both on. |

Speaking of that, where is hopeful today? |

Location: Northwest Chicago suburbs | Ditto on the old fashions. Especially after a coooold day on the water. Muskie fishing, followed by a hot meal at Skyview, after dinner drink, watch the World Series, wake up the next morning and fish some more.
Is this heaven? |

| I envision all you guys at Skyview smackin Kevin around like Elaine and Seinfeld smacking George in his Puffy Jacket! |

|
| I have been there for it...it's quite good...but the food at Skyview is just as good or better..they give you a ton of food for the price...
great pizza at Skyview as well... |

I'll stick to drinking, not pokering.

A few of us will be staying on P.I. Lake until Monday, and spending some time around the cabin on Tues. I figured I better hit it before the caravan arrives!
Good luck to you all next week! |

Looking forward to my first of what I hope to be many M1st gatherings.
I hope Andrew found his way out of that cornfield.
