Location: Kenosha, Wi. | I'm starting to look for some inexpensive trolling rods for next year, and know with all the knowledge on this site, that some great ideas will be forthcoming. Any input would be greatly appreciated! |

Location: Racine, Wi | Most of the rods designed for trolling are pretty inexpensive. Personally I use the Shimano TDR's. They run around $30 a piece. I love them. Haven't had an issue with them yet, and they've handled a couple fish here and there. |

| I use 9' Gander Guide Series DownRigger Rods for my planer boards, Gander 8' Dipsey rods for the boat rods, and Ugly Stick 6 1/2' MH Muskie Rods for my down rods. The Gander Rods are two piece, and cost $30. I don't know how much the Ugly Sticks cost, but they were inexpensive. |

I'm a little dissapointed you aren't using those fine, white Berkley trolling rods I sold you. |

| GMG, I had to give those up to Gene Daul. He absolutely had to have them at the Milwaukee Swap last year!
As soon as Kevin comes up with trolling Fig Rigs, those Gander Rods are history, too! |

Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | Look for my setup on Pewaukee. I lost a Salty Downeast on Saturday. Thats the cheapest way to get set-up! Look on the differnet sites for someone selling gear or see if someone is upgrading and you can buy there old stuff.

Location: Michigan | You might think about the Shakespeare uglysticks and their Bigwater rods. I like to use the 10' dipsay diver rods for my out lines and planer boards. $55.00 and their 5'6" and 6'6" bigwater rods for running line close to the boat $35.00. The Shakespeare T30 L line-counter Tidewater reals 4.2:1 330yds 30# line. I use 50 lb line on mine I get about 200 yds of it on the real. Their heavy saltwater reals and only $40.00.

Location: Contrarian Island | I don't troll a ton but I would agree that Shimano TDR's are great trolling rods...also the Catmaxx line of rods are great too...catfishing rods in the 7-8 foot length and heavy action are great for trolling all sizes of baits |
